Aarambh
• Purpose / Goals :To provide quality education to 150 children in age group of three to five years and 100 out of school children in age group of six to twelve years.

• Purpose / Goals : To help improvement of academic performance of 1500 children at orphanages, slum and village community centers based in various cities going to local government schools.

• Purpose / Goals : To completely sponsor 10 girls for one academic year that includes personal and educational expenditure.

• Purpose / Goals : To provide additional livelihood opportunities for elderly people by setting up a Pickle and Tomato Sauce making plant that utilizes locally available raw material.

• Purpose / Goals : To facilitate education of 40 children, coming from areas with no access to school by providing safe and adequate living accommodation.

• Purpose / Goals : To enable 55 visually challenged youth from lowincome families to be economically sound and independent by providing vocational education and accommodation for free.

2011-2012
Mahek (Avbodh IQG Rural Empowerment Program )
• Purpose / Goals : To train women in making incense sticks (agarbathi) and then provide them with logistical support so as to have a monthly income of Rs 2500 to Rs 3500 ( $50 – $70 ). Buy machines used for making incense sticks after renting a place. Then select a batch of eager women and train them over a period of 4 weeks. 10 women will be selected per batch and there will be a total of 20 batches over 2 years thereby with the goal of empowering 200 women. Provide logistical support by assisting these women in buying a machine each and procuring raw materials with a buy-back tie-up from the incense stick provider. Deploy a quarterly monitoring procedure to ensure the smooth operation.

Wadi (Haritika)
• Purpose / Goals : To ensure a sustainable source of income for 20 tribal families through the concept of Wadi (orchard plantation). Wadi is a splitting of 20 acres of land equally amongst 20 families, hence allowing each family to grow 110 fruit plants.A 2 year project benefitting 20 families, the goal is to increase the productivity of dry lands through the growth of fruit crops. Border plantation of forestry species to meet the fodder, firewood and timber requirement. Intercropping between rows of fruit trees, by mixed cropping of local cereals and drought resistant oilseeds and pulses.

VIRD (Voluntary Institute for Rural Development )
• Purpose / Goals : To empower women from scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, by actively involving them in agricultural activities such as vegetable cultivation and animal husbandry, thereby providing them with means for future income. There are 4 villages, which means in each rotation period 40 women will be benefited. In the end of 6 years 120 women will get benefited. 1st and 2nd year (First rotation period) – Select a group of 10 women per village, dig a deep common well, buy a pump set, seeds, pesticides and goats (2 goats per woman), and help them to practice vegetable cultivation and goat rearing. Continuous monitoring in the form of veterinary doctor and field supervisors. Hope to generate a profitable income of Rs. 7,68,000 /- at the end of the rotation period. 3rd and 4th year (Second rotation period) – The profitable income from the first rotation period will be used in helping a second batch of 10 women per village. No necessity for external funding since project self sustenance is anticipated at the end of 2 years.

2010-2011
Kaliyuva Mane (Divya Deepa Charitable Trust )
• Purpose / Goals : “Kaliyuva Mane” (meaning Learning Home, in Kannada), an alternative school based on the principle “School for children” instead of usual “Children for school”, is a Divyadeepa project where the child is the nucleus. Aim is to transform the lives of underprivileged children of the rural community.Serves rural community of Kenchalagudu, a village about 15km on the outskirts of Mysore.
• Our Contribution : Divya Deepa approached Sankalp for funding to upgrade Kaliyuva Mane. Sankalp felt that it could fund for building a classroom and to buy equipment for Multipurpose hall which included Projector, Laptop, Sound system, Furniture, Carpets, Stage, Lighting, drinking water and inverter for back up for power. In all, Sankalp approved Rs 4,01,000 for project.
READS (Rajabazar Education & Awareness Development Society)
• Purpose / Goals: The main and only objective of READS is empowerment of children who are unnoticed, uncalled and unsung-economically and educationally. The short term objective is obviously to bring at least 250 to 300 more children under the cover of education, healthcare and financial independence, through imparting formal education and side by side train them in vocational courses.
• Our Contribution : Sankalp decided to fund education and support service to 50 children and vocational Training for 2 Groups of 20 women for three years. In all Sankalp approved Rs 3,30,000 for this project.
Centre for Development Service (CDS)
• Purpose / Goals : Durgaprasadpur village under Talmul Gram Panchayat of Banarpal Block in Angul District,Orissa, India. For 30 families in this village Sankalp has decided to suport through the activities of Goat rearing, Low cost bathrooms and Kitchen Gardens.
• Our Contribution : Sankalp sanctioned Rs. 139000 for this project
Ruipathar electrification project
• Purpose / Goals : An organization known as Maitri, wanted to harness the extra capacity of the solar panels installed to power water pumps to provide electric lights to each family as well as street lights in the village.
• Our Contribution : Sankalp sanctioned Rs. 2,00, 000 for this project.
2009-2010
In the financial year of 2009-2010, Sankalp funded Haritika to bring 24-hours clean water supply to the village of Chapran in Madhya Pradesh.The project has been implemented successfully with total cost Rs. 462,377. The community provided Rs. 41,000 whereas the remainder of Rs. 421,377 (appox. $9,500) was funded by Sankalp. Sankalp also provided Rs 1,32,000 (approx $3,000) for the “Restoration of Livelihood” project by CDS in the tribal village of Tanmul, Odisha. This project provided means of livelihood for 40 families in the village which was completely burnt down. Sankalp helped VIRD with Rs 447,000 (approx $10,000) for rural development in 10 villages from Odisha. VIRD utilized this money to promote and strengthen people’s self help groups, provide training on modern agricultural methods to 362 farmers, training 100 women on backyard poultry farming, build sheds for them, and provide 100 chicks to each of these 100 women to start the farming. VIRD also worked on the formation and formalization of cooperatives in the 10 villages where all these training was undertaken to provide a marketing method for the yield.
