
Arun Institute of Rural Affairs, an organization established in 1986 is based in Dhenkanal district, Odisha. They mainly focus on helping the poor with community-based activities and prevent child labor, violence against women and children. Their previous works include setting up a residential secondary school for the underprivileged children, prevention of women and children trafficking, residential primary school for the tribal children.
The proposed project aims to support women who have been rescued from being trafficked by providing them with Protective and Rehabilitative Home and also extending them support for their livelihood. With a target population of 120 women per year, the organization aims to train such women in tailoring apart from providing them with legal counselling and other support as needed, for the next 3-5 years at least.
The total funds expected by the organization towards successful execution of the project is INR 4,12,000(approx. USD 5,700).
